What is Profit Guard and how the final price is calculated

To make it easier to manage your PBX tokens, we have prepared a new programme that will take care of its automatic sale in case the token price rises. And because this programme is designed to protect appreciation, we have aptly named it Profit Guard. In this article, you will find information about what Profit Guard is, what its terms and conditions are, how the PBX sale price is calculated, and how to join the programme.

What is Profit Guard?

Profit Guard is an automated strategy that allows you to sell PBX tokens for stablecoin USDC based on predefined price levels that clients set up themselves in accordance with predefined options. This is a hassle-free way to ensure that a portion of your PBX tokens are sold over time at a price that is profitable for you.

 How does Profit Guard work?

Profit Guard is activated the following calendar month after you have locked down your selected number of PBX for a total of 36 months. When you lock them in, you choose one of the predefined sales price levels, which starts at $0.165 per PBX.

Subsequently, if the average PBX price for the past month exceeds the price level you set, your PBX will be partially sold for USDC. USDC are then automatically sent to your wallet within the Earnio platform.

Probinex will buy back tokens with a total value of USDC 100,000 from all Profit Guard participants subject to the activated price levels in the event that the price level is exceeded and the sale is activated. You can also split your PBX into different price levels.

What are the conditions for entering Profit Guard?

Profit Guard is open to anyone with a available balance of at least 100,000 PBX in the client zone. At the same time, you need to have an activated account on the Earnio platform, to which USDC from PBX sales within Profit Guard are automatically sent.

How is the final selling price of PBX calculated for the relevant period?

1. Setting the price level: each month Profit Guard participants can set the price level at which they want to sell their tokens. It is possible to have multiple Profit Guard programmes running at different price levels. However, each of these levels relates to specific locked PBX tokens.

2. Average price for the previous period: This price is the average of the daily PBX token closing prices available on CoinGecko. If the average price exceeds the set price level, a portion of the tokens will be sold.

3. Final sale price: The final sale price is set to cover the broker's remuneration and is taken into account by the sale coefficient. For example, if the average price for the past month was USD 0.17, the price level of level one is triggered, for which a reward factor of 85% applies. The final selling price will thus be 0.1445 USDC per PBX.

How is the number of PBX tokens sold determined?

The amount of PBX tokens sold depends on the amount of tokens deposited into Profit Guard at a specific price level and the total amount of PBX tokens of all participants in the program at activated price levels. Probinex will repurchase a total of $100,000 worth of PBX in the event of price level activation.

If you have 100,000 PBX for sale at a particular price level, and the total number of PBX from all participants for sale at that price level is 1,000,000 PBX, then you will redeem 10% of your 100,000 PBX because that is the proportion of your PBX to the total amount of PBX.

How to join the Profit Guard programme?

To join Profit Guard, simply visit the Profit Guard section on client.probinex.com. In the menu, you will find Profit Guard under the StayKing section.
